The Tutor
Judy Pomroy began her artistic career in Sydney's northern suburbs where she studied commercial art at North Sydney Technical College. In 1996 Judy moved to the Gold Coast with renewed enthusiasm, determined to succeed in a variety of media. Under the guidance of Metka Sktrobar, Judy found her niche using watercolours which allowed her to indulge in a more diverse form of expression harmonizing with her renewed art connection. Inspired to go further with her art Judy set up her own Studio in Palm Beach QLD, in order to share her expertise with other aspiring artists and has since established regular classes for beginners and experienced artists who wish to explore their creativity in all forms of water-based media. Judy has been a regular tutor at the Qld Watercolour Society, McGregor USQ Winter Schools, Cairns Artescape & Camp Creative, Bellingen, NSW as well as many other Art groups throughout Australia. Her workshops have taken her as far as Western Australia, Italy and France. Her enthusiastic and innovative approach to painting techniques continues to stimulate and inspire her many students, bringing to life her philosophy that art is a shared experience.
